Am I suitable for teeth whitening?

Most adults with healthy teeth and gums can be considered for whitening. Your dentist checks your teeth during your examination and confirms whether whitening is right for you, or whether another treatment would suit you better.

Is professional teeth whitening safe?

Your whitening is carried out by your dentist at a professional dental clinic, after checking that your teeth and gums are healthy. This is why we only offer whitening in-clinic. If you have sensitive teeth, let your dentist know so your treatment can be planned around it.

Can I whiten my teeth if I have crowns or fillings?

Whitening works on natural teeth, so it won’t change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings. If you have them, your dentist will explain how whitening may affect the way your smile matches and recommend the most suitable option for you.

Can I add teeth whitening to another treatment?

Yes. Many patients add whitening while they are in Istanbul for bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, hair transplantation or other dental treatments. Just let your translator know, and they will arrange it around your main treatment plan. Any treatment is only carried out with your approval.

How do I keep my teeth white after whitening?

Brushing twice a day, cleaning between your teeth and keeping up with regular check-ups at your dentist at home all help your smile stay bright. Cutting down on coffee, tea, red wine and smoking helps too. Your dentist will give you aftercare advice before you fly home.

From the moment I arrived, I felt so well looked after. Every single member of the team was kind, caring, and genuinely wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay.

The pre-operative testing was incredibly thorough, which gave me so much confidence that my health and safety were their top priority. The dietitian was absolutely brilliant, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure I understood what to expect after surgery.

The translators were fantastic and made communication so easy, despite the language barrier. A special thank you to Senem, my coordinator, who was amazing from start to finish. She was always there to answer my questions, offer reassurance, and make the whole process feel stress-free. Also huge shout out to Sedek operational supervisor , he was truly amazing, spoke great English and checked in everyday, and even was comforting on my low days.

Before leaving, I was given a very clear, well-presented food plan and medication schedule, so I knew exactly what I needed to do during recovery.

I truly felt cared for every step of the way, and I’m so grateful to everyone at Galya Health for making what could have been a scary experience such a positive one. Thank you for everything! ❤️

Communication was relatively quick via WhatsApp, even with the time zone differences, which made the whole process feel easy and reassuring.
The hospital stay was lovely, and Senem and her team took great care of us the entire time. I also really appreciate that they continue to check in via WhatsApp - it doesn’t feel like you’re just on your own once you leave.
