Free medical assessment

Tell us about your health, goals and medical history. It takes about two minutes, there’s no obligation, and a member of our team will be in touch to talk it through.

Your personal treatment plan

Our medical team reviews your assessment and recommends a suitable option. You receive a written plan and quote showing exactly what’s included, so there are no surprises later.

Planning your trip

Once you’re ready, we agree your dates and arrange your hospital, hotel and transfers. Your coordinator lets you know what to bring and answers any questions before you travel.

Before You Travel

Everything is planned and confirmed before you book a flight.

Arrival and VIP transfer

Our team meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. Every journey between your hotel and the hospital is arranged for you.

Tests and consultation

At the hospital, you have comprehensive pre-operative tests and meet your specialist, who examines you and confirms your final plan before treatment begins.

Your treatment

Your treatment is carried out in a private hospital licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health. A translator is with you, and your coordinator keeps your companion updated.

Recovery and check-ups

Your recovery is monitored in hospital and during your hotel stay. All of your post-operative checks are completed before you are cleared to fly home.

Your Time in Istanbul

Someone from our team is with you from the moment you land.

Ongoing support at home

You go home with clear aftercare instructions, and your coordinator stays in touch to check on your progress. If you have a question, your team is just a message away for as long as you need it.

After You Fly Home

Our support doesn’t end when you leave Istanbul.

Planning Your Trip

A few things worth knowing before you travel. Your coordinator will go through the details that apply to you.

Flights

Flights are usually booked separately, so you can choose the dates and airline that suit you. We’ll confirm the best dates with you first.

Travel documents

Check that your passport is valid and look up the latest entry requirements for Türkiye for your nationality before you book.

Travelling with a companion

You’re welcome to bring someone with you, and accommodation for one companion is included in your package.

Staying in touch

Your coordinator is available on WhatsApp before, during and after your trip, so help is always easy to reach.

Will someone meet me at the airport?

Yes. Our team meets you when you land and takes you to your hotel. All of your transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital are arranged for you.

How long will I need to stay in Istanbul?

It depends on your treatment and your personal plan. The length of your stay is confirmed in your treatment plan before you book your flights.

Can someone come with me?

Yes. Many patients travel with a partner, friend or family member, and accommodation for one companion is included in your package.

Will I have a translator?

Yes. Someone who speaks your language is with you at the hospital and throughout your time in Istanbul, so you always understand what’s happening.

Do you book my flights?

Flights are usually booked separately, so you can choose the dates and airline that suit you. We’ll confirm the right dates with you before you book.

What happens if I need help after I get home?

Your coordinator stays in touch after you fly home, and your team is there for advice and follow-up for as long as you need it.

From the moment I arrived, I felt so well looked after. Every single member of the team was kind, caring, and genuinely wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay.

The pre-operative testing was incredibly thorough, which gave me so much confidence that my health and safety were their top priority. The dietitian was absolutely brilliant, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure I understood what to expect after surgery.

The translators were fantastic and made communication so easy, despite the language barrier. A special thank you to Senem, my coordinator, who was amazing from start to finish. She was always there to answer my questions, offer reassurance, and make the whole process feel stress-free. Also huge shout out to Sedek operational supervisor , he was truly amazing, spoke great English and checked in everyday, and even was comforting on my low days.

Before leaving, I was given a very clear, well-presented food plan and medication schedule, so I knew exactly what I needed to do during recovery.

I truly felt cared for every step of the way, and I’m so grateful to everyone at Galya Health for making what could have been a scary experience such a positive one. Thank you for everything! ❤️

They answered the many questions and concerns I had and honestly, I do not regret my decision at all! You see all the specialists you need to one after the other, which would never happen back home, it was fantastic, then before I knew it I was being prepped for surgery and now the healing part of my journey begins. Communication was relatively quick via WhatsApp, even with the time zone differences, which made the whole process feel easy and reassuring.
The hospital stay was lovely, and Senem and her team took great care of us the entire time. I also really appreciate that they continue to check in via WhatsApp - it doesn’t feel like you’re just on your own once you leave.
I’m really happy with my surgery and my results so far. The hotel was top tier as well, which made the whole experience even better. I would absolutely recommend Galya Health to anyone considering gastric surgery in Türkiye.
